Mental Wellness
Mental Wellness
The Mental Wellness department supports the Wellness Workers in the five KO schools and the Student Wellness Workers in the Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS). Support could come in the form of building on existing programing, as well as coordinating opportunities for professional development such as workshops or courses both in and out of the communities, webinars, and learning opportunities with different organizations. Topics may include suicide education and prevention, bullying and conflict resolution, and healthy lifestyles. The Mental Wellness department also works with other service providers and regional health organizations to develop a holistic approach to mental wellness including modern and traditional activities. The Mental Wellness department tailors their approach to the meet the unique needs of each of the five KO schools.
